About the Marks Project

 

The Marks Project facilitates a network of community partners who strive to make Quitman County a place where its children can thrive. Guided by a belief that education empowers , Marks Project is a non-profit organization registered with the state of Mississippi and currently operates under the tax-exemption status of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi. 

The Marks Project meets on the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 am at the superintendent’s office south of the high school in Marks. All are welcome to attend.

The Mission of the Marks Project

The mission of the Marks Project is to enable Quitman County to grow by empowering its residents with the resources, education, and skills they need to thrive.  The Marks Project creates sustainable partnerships with public and private entities. Together, we raise awareness and understanding of the issues rural communities face and work to find solutions.  

We want Quitman County to be a place to call home.
